The next day we took a drive to see Wieskirche, along the
"Romantishestrasse" or the "Romantic Road."


The church is actually spectacularly gaudy and overdone...


...although the organ was something else.


The Wieskirche is famous and popular with pilgrims because
right after it was built, the statue of the chained Jesus, which you
can see in the alcove above the altar area, supposedly wept.
Witnesses said they saw tears dripping from the statue's eyes.
